In February of this year the workers of Sheri’s Ranch made history by becoming the first legal brothel in the United States to unionize- becoming United Brothel Workers under the umbrella of the Communications Workers of America Local 9413.
In response to our efforts, management has fired 9 women outright, with multiple other union members finding themselves unable to get on the schedule. Our case is with the NLRB, and we anticipate an intervention that gets us back to work and to the bargaining table with the corporate powers at Sheri’s soon.
In the meantime, we’ve been offering mutual aid funds to the workers affected- this show aims to help replenish that fund as our case drags into its 7th month (9th, by the time the show goes on).
